Deborah Somjak

Deborah is a board-certified biblical counselor. A speaker, trainer, recipe collector, and Italian food lover, she expounds the Word of God to warmly impact and encourage hearts.

Deborah holds an A.A. in Religion from Liberty University and has been a devoted follower of Christ for 37 years and counting. She is a loving wife to her husband, John, of 36 years. She is blessed to be called Mom to three exceptional children, two wonderful sons-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren.

She is a Board Certified Biblical Counselor with the American Association of Christian Counselors.

She believes that imparting an understanding of the Word as she expounds on truth while sharing life experiences engages the unfolding of hearts, and abounding hope can be found.

When ministering in the Spirit of counsel, she has identified herself as an advocate for the heart—one who fights on behalf of another, helping to connect the soul to the Spirit within while standing in the gap and coming alongside another.

We are uniquely gifted by faith for purpose. This is vital in life and for health, first, our spiritual health, and then our physical health. This can be difficult to comprehend, yet this alignment has been designed by our Creator. Once we have awareness, it begins to be fulfilled as we reach the community around us.

Deborah has been graced with gifts in the prophetic, with strong roots established in prayer. From this grace flows compassion, ministry in wisdom, the Spirit of counsel, words of knowledge, visions, breakthroughs and healing, prophetic prayers, and occasionally dreams.  

1 Corinthians 12 best describes it: each believer has received a gift that manifests the Spirit’s power and presence. That gift is given for the good of the whole community.
