ἀγῶνα, Hebrews 12:1, that is to say, ‘Amid all hindrances let us exert ourselves to the utmost to attain to the goal of perfection set before the followers of Christ’; any struggle with dangers, annoyances, obstacles, standing in the way of faith, holiness, and a desire to spread the gospel:

Relating to God
The conviction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and bestower of eternal salvation through Christ.
Relating to Christ
a strong and welcome conviction or belief that Jesus is the Messiah through whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God.
Battle Worth Fighting
Wrong Battle
- Pride: if you need to prove your right, beware. He who saves his life will lose it.
- Don’t fight over minor doctrine: legalistic argument and non-important issues.
- Preferences ‘you like’ conviction differs from something you’d die for / family.
By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.
Worth Fighting
- Faith Jesus disciples worth fighting. Strengthen the brothers, building for God.
- Fight for Family, children, and grandchildren, w/faith prayer trusting God, love, kindness, goodness.
- Fight for Life: a gift of God, speak up for humanity and your own life.
- Rebuke in Jesus’ Name strongholds demonic attacks step into purpose, fight.
- The safety and well-being of the nation, appointed time, bless the city, bless the nation, help the poor, missionary, preach the gospel, and the end-time nation all have a purpose.
Most attacks are spiritual. Let go of insignificant battles with God. He is our strong tower, defense, wall of fire, and future life.
You’re coming under attack, not losing, not lost, just under attack if in battle.
Ps 42 David’s faith turns around David’s patience to seek and wait on the Lord.
Ps 34:4 Many are the affliction of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all.
